TCCO Serve

TCCO Serve Vision

We are never more like Jesus than when we serve.

Scripture tells us we are all called to serve somewhere and that no one is called to do nothing. Here at TCCO we would love the opportunity to help you discover and find a way to use your God-given gifts and the best place and spot for you to serve! We would LOVE to invite you to join our DREAM TEAM, which is our church-wide team of volunteers! There are so many great ways and areas to get involved in serving! The list is limitless and there is a spot for you to serve! You are needed! And you are wanted!

A Note From the TCCO Serve Teams Pastor

Hi! I’m Walter Schoen, the Serve Teams Pastor here at The Connecting Co! One of our core values here at TCCO is “People Over Process” and that is what makes all our serve teams so unique. We want to connect people to Jesus and each other by creating an environment where people feel at home, welcome, and comfortable from the very first moment you arrive at TCCO!

Whether you encounter a member of ourDream Team in the parking lot, at the front door, while grabbing a coffee or any other time during a service, our desire is that every encounter helps prepare hearts to receive Jesus!

What Is A Serve Team?

The Connecting Co couldn’t function or make Sundays and ministry happen without members of our Dream Team who give of their time and talents to serve regularly within the church to help us accomplish our vision by helping us create a space for people “to connect to Jesus and each other!” Our Serve Teams help run a wide variety of operations on Sundays and throughout the week to include things like: helping park cars, making sure the church is clean and ready for each service, greeting everyone at the doors as they come in, serving coffee and donuts in the cafe, printing and folding talk notes, being a part of our safety team, and so much more! Anyone ages 16 and older can sign up to be a part of a Serve Team.

Why Do Serve Teams Matters?

Serving matters because the stakes are too high to not take it seriously. Scripture tells us we are all called to serve somewhere and that we each have an vitally important role and part to fulfill within the church family and in the body of Christ. We also understand that people coming to our church and feeling comfortable enough to encounter Jesus, His presence, and the difference only He can make in their lives can actually begin with that very first smile, or help with checking their children in, or the friendly greeting they experience when they walk through the door for the first time. Serving matters, because it helps create a place and space for people to CONNECT with Jesus and others and for their lives to be forever changed!

Our flow

Once you have signed up to join a Serve Team (using the link below) and participated in the onboarding process specific for that team, you will be scheduled to help on Sundays throughout the month based on your schedule. Each Sunday we also ask that all Dream Team members attend the Pre-Game Huddle which takes place 30 minutes prior to the start of each service. We do ask for each volunteer to be at their assigned position 15 minutes prior to the first service, engaging with the people you are serving. We communicate regularly with our various Serve Team members, and we also hold training and appreciation events throughout the year. We can’t wait to get you connected to serving!
